Built in Vancouver. Designed for the Long Haul
The Lions Gate Digital Operating Model—and Our Search for Exceptional Vancouver Talent
Lions Gate Digital is entering a new phase with a clear purpose: to build and manage the digital infrastructure behind a focused group of connected brands.
From Vancouver, we will support a full house of projects that includes Security Traders, Invest Offshore, Commodity Trader and Security Dealers, while developing the systems, editorial capabilities and technical expertise required for the wider ecosystem. Our immediate objective is to have the complete team in place and ready to support Security Traders beginning January 1, 2027.
We are not building a conventional agency that pursues every available client. We are creating a specialized digital operating company dedicated to a select portfolio of businesses with shared standards, complementary audiences and long-term ambitions.
That focus changes everything.
A Small Office With a Large Mandate
The Lions Gate Digital office in Vancouver will be deliberately small. It will serve as an interview and meeting space, a media studio and the operational centre from which we coordinate projects across our entire network.
The office will not be filled with rows of desks. Our model combines a compact local team, work-from-home flexibility and a trusted network of independent specialists. It gives us access to exceptional talent without creating unnecessary overhead or sacrificing accountability.
Slack will serve as our central project-management environment. Each brand, website and major initiative will have a defined workspace, clear ownership and an organized approval process. Editorial assignments, development work, design reviews, publishing schedules and performance reporting will all move through one coordinated system.
The objective is simple: everyone should know what is being built, who is responsible for it, what comes next and how the work contributes to the larger mission.
The Core Team
Our initial operating structure will be lean and highly specialized.
A full-time WordPress programmer will provide the technical continuity required across the portfolio. This person may work primarily from home while remaining closely connected to the Vancouver office and the rest of the team. The role will include website development, theme customization, performance improvement, security maintenance, integrations and the creation of reusable systems that benefit every property we manage.
A part-time server and systems specialist will oversee hosting infrastructure, backups, security controls, access management and technical reliability. As our network grows, this role will become increasingly important to protecting the stability of the entire digital operation.
A part-time bookkeeping and payroll professional will establish disciplined financial administration from the beginning. Clear records, reliable contractor payments, organized reporting and responsible cost management are essential parts of a company built for the long term.
Editorial production will be supported by carefully selected independent writers, editors, researchers and multimedia contributors. This flexible network will allow us to match specialists with the subjects they understand best while maintaining consistent editorial standards across every publication.
The Vancouver office will connect these people and functions into one operating team.
Why Vancouver
Vancouver offers an unusual combination of technology expertise, creative talent, international perspective and cultural diversity. It is home to experienced developers, designers, editors, media professionals and systems specialists who understand how to work across markets and time zones.
Lions Gate Digital has also spent years developing relationships within the Vancouver technology community and with WordPress specialists around the world. Our new operating model brings those relationships together around a more focused purpose.
We believe some of the best people in the region are looking for more than another short assignment. They want to work on meaningful projects, develop new capabilities and see how their contributions affect the growth of an organization over time.
That is the kind of environment we intend to create.
Beginning the Talent Search
During the months ahead, Lions Gate Digital will begin searching for the best and brightest people Vancouver has to offer.
Technical ability will matter, but credentials alone will not determine who joins us. We will be looking for people who demonstrate sound judgment, curiosity, reliability and pride in their work. We value professionals who can work independently while remaining accountable to a team.
Our strongest candidates will understand that digital operations are not divided into isolated departments. A developer should appreciate the publishing objective behind a website. An editor should understand how structure, search visibility and audience behaviour affect content. A systems specialist should recognize that reliability protects both the brand and the reader.
We are looking for people who can see the entire picture.
The first positions will be practical and clearly defined, but the opportunity will be larger than any single job description. Every person who joins Lions Gate Digital will have the chance to help shape the systems, standards and culture of a company at an important stage of its development.
Creating Long-Term Career Paths
Our ambition is not to assemble a temporary production crew. It is to build enduring professional relationships and create genuine room for advancement.
As the portfolio grows, early team members may develop into technical leads, managing editors, project managers, systems directors or operational specialists. Independent contributors who consistently produce excellent work may earn larger assignments, recurring responsibilities and leadership opportunities within their areas of expertise.
We intend to support professional development through hands-on experience across multiple brands, exposure to new technologies, increasingly responsible assignments and direct participation in the evolution of our operating systems.
Growth will be based on contribution. People who improve our work, strengthen the team and solve increasingly important problems should be able to build increasingly important careers with us.
The path will not be identical for everyone. That is a strength of the model. A talented WordPress developer, financial editor, video producer or infrastructure specialist may each grow in a different direction while contributing to the same connected organization.
One Team, Reusable Knowledge
Because Lions Gate Digital serves a focused portfolio, every lesson can strengthen the whole network.
A performance improvement developed for one website can become a standard across the others. A successful editorial format can be adapted for another audience. A better publishing workflow, security procedure or conversion insight can be documented and reused.
Over time, this creates a valuable body of institutional knowledge. We become faster without becoming careless, more consistent without making every property look the same, and more capable without building unnecessary bureaucracy.
This is the central advantage of the Lions Gate Digital operating model: focused people, connected systems and knowledge that compounds with every release.
The Road to January 1, 2027
Our near-term priority is clear. We are building the team, workflows and technical foundation required to support Security Traders from January 1, 2027.
That means recruiting carefully, establishing dependable systems and giving every new team member a clear understanding of the standards we expect. It also means proving that a small, disciplined Vancouver operation can manage an ambitious portfolio with precision.
The office may be modest, but the opportunity is not.
Lions Gate Digital is building a company where talented people can perform exceptional work, expand their responsibilities and grow with the organization for years to come.
Our search is beginning—and Vancouver is where we intend to find the people who will help us build what comes next.
